Deer Run Elementary School

Sheryl Dunsmore: We looked at private and public schools for our son, and elected to send him to Deer Run for kindergarten.  We were very pleased with how much this school felt like a community.  The entire teaching staff is dedicated to both the emotional and academic welfare of the students, and parents at every grade level were very involved in the school and its activities.  We developed a strong relationship with our son's teacher and communicated weekly about his progress - I heard this echoed from every parent I spoke with.  Our son learned so much during his school year.  In fact, he hated to read before school started and now reads books on his own without being prompted!  We strongly recommend Deer Run.
