Michael Hurley: This school is fantastic. I am in all honors courses and in those classes I am challenged to be the best I can possibly be. The teachers are very friendly, they are always willing to stay after school and help me if I am struggling with something and they always answer my questions in class. They are very clever and always find a way to keep the interest of the student. The faculty, especially the principle Mr. Miller, are very friendly and they attempt to create a personal relationship with the student. My faith is very important at Fenwick, we have mass weekly and our priest, Father Bedle, does a very good job with it. Each grade has at least one religion class and not only are the students taught academics, but they also learn about how to handle the teenage years in a appropriate way. It is very technologically advanced also. There is an iPad tray available to any class that signs up for it and every teacher has an iPad. This makes it easier to teach, there are multiple apps my teachers use such as the Google earth app which my history teacher uses to teach geography. Every classroom is equipped with a smart board that helps the student become involved with what the teachers are trying to show the student. It creates a great visual that can be hooked up to the computer for easy use. The student body is fantastic. It really is like a family, there is virtually no bullying among them and they welcome transfers with open arms. We also get very involved with the athletics which makes school more fun of course. I can't say enough good things about this school. The results are there, the average ACT score is 25, four points above the national average. 99% of the class of 2011 entered college and 60% recieved scholarships of some kind. Many went to fantastic colleges, multiple students went to the University of Notre Dame.
