St Michael School

Very good K-6. 7th and 8th Grade have slipped and are not on par with some of competing public jr. high schools. Most notably mathematics and history/social studies are very poorly taught. No real language arts to speak of.

Lot of drama this year with unilateral firing by pastor of long time principal with no consultation of the School Advisory Board. Interim principal in place until a Sister from an order in MI will move to the school this summer to take over. Little is known of new principal in terms of credentials or even name.

Parish is overall very strained due largely to behavior of Pastor who has an abrupt, caustic manner when questioned or challenged.
