Youngstown Christian School
john gavin: my daughter has been at ycs for 3.5 years, this is the best school she has attended. she is in honor classes and has a 3.75 gpa. the teachers really care about her success and her grades. she was previously in youngstown city schools, also her grades her very good. but the attention she gets from her teachers and coaches, is unmeasurable.
this was the best move my wife and i could have done for her. she gets along with everyone, and really enjoys her classes and her sports teams. now, if they have a softball team this year, her experience will be even greater.
this school was a blessing for my daughter, and i thank mr.pecchia for his caring and blessing for my daughter.
Julie Arduini: We centered our job-oriented move 7 years ago around Youngstown Christian because we were so impressed with what the school offers and what it stands for. It has only gotten better since then, if that is possible.
The academics are important at YCS. Every morning they have a time where they review questions that would come up on state exams. Parents are in constant touch with children's grades through EdLine, and teachers are easily accessible and are for your children.
YCS is a standout in technology. They had smart boards in the classroom before other schools in the area. They care about the building. There is a state of the art gym and chapel.
But in addition to all these things, they are about faith in Christ and loving other people. There is a president, Dean of Students and Dean of Academics who model these things first and pass it down to the other teachers, staff, and students. My kids feel like they matter and they are learning. YCS is a serious athletic competitor without compromising academics or faith.
We are a proud YCS family.
