St John's Lutheran School Reviews
Serious nepotism issue with the faculty, especially with the principal and my son's kindergarten teacher who happened to be her mother. My son was man-handled by the teacher and treated terribly to the point that he came home saying he was "stupid" and was scared to go back to school. Teacher and principal both violated privacyby giving unprofessional outburts about my child in front of other parents and non-essential staff. My son fell and injured his head and neck during recess that required a hospital visit. School never followed Dept of Health protocol and contacted EMS and moved him without stabalizing him. Inappropriate comments were written by the teacher on my sons homework, demeaning him and us as parents. We had a meeting to address issues and things were agreed upon, but the teacher and principal continued their unprofessional behavior. This is the worst private school I have ever encountered and I was raised attending private schools.
Recently my daughter’s teacher quite and she had worked for a few years. They then hired an unlicensed teacher with no teaching experience … I feel a little cheated at this time… Like I should be getting a discount! However I have prayed about it and will give it three weeks to see give the new teacher a chance. And we will see
Prior to this we had no issues with the school or the class other then
They sale the pre K class having music class hard at this school, and computer however your child is lucky to get to be in the computer 5 minutes per class, most of the time when I have came in to the school at this time of the computer class the kids have been watching TV. Music once a week is not enough for your child to pick up much. Spanish class is going to be added this year at some point or at least that’s what I keep hearing but again it’s only once a week. Which is not enough for a child to pick up a new language!
St. John's actually has elementary through 6th grade. My daughter is in 2nd grade there and the environment is wonderful. It is a safe, loving, Christ centered place and the students have every opportunity to excell academically.
