Unless you work at this school on a daily basis, you will probably not see the problems there.  Anyone with any sense leaves after they realize how poorly this school is run.  Family and staff turnover are extremely high because of the way this school is run.  I personally witnessed a number of disturbing incidents where the corporal punishment policy was misused.  I was not the only witness, and others left because of this.  Please be aware that this school and this principal are accountable to no one.  There have been problems in the past, but because the involved parents have not pressed charges nothing has been done.  That said, if your child is a model student, or if you don't spend a great deal of time at the school during the school day, or if there aren't currently any "problem" students who "need their leg spanked" to be an "example", it probably seems like an OK place to you.  The long-term staff can seem very caring.  After working with them, I can tell you that this is not always the case.  I literally have nightmares that my children still attend this school or that I still work there.
