St John Nepomuk Catholic School Reviews
I have had children in this school for the past 5 years and couldn't be happier. My children (and many of the children in their classes) are performing at a level beyond their grade in not only math and reading but in all other subjects as well. However, in addition to superior academics, this school teaches morals and values something that cannot be taught in a public institution. My children and their classmates are kind, respectful and polite. They have a life based in God and a solid foundation for making the right choices later in life.
I find the teachers to be absolute professionals who truly care about the children they teach. These teachers are at this school because of a love of teaching and a love of children. They choose to teach at a school where the pay is less than the public schools but the environment is far superior. I applaud their recognition of what should be important in a classroom.
St. John Nepomuk is about so much more than academics. While the teachers are amazing and beyond qualified, St. John is developing students with strong character, morals and values, which is vital to their future and society as a whole. When this is combined with strong educational standards, St. John does an tremendous job of ensuring we have exceptional leaders of tomorrow. Another perk of St. John (and other K-12 schools) is the lack of transitions. Studies show that students who attend K-12 schools versus those who experience multiple transitions perform better on standardized tests, which are used to measure college preparedness and to admit students in post-secondary education.
We are highly impressed and blessed to have our children attending this school. The administration and staff have a passion for what they do and our children have grown in every aspect of their being. It is a testament to the test scores compared against other schools..but more importantly to us, that our children are developing a sense of community and faith that will carry with them throughout their lifetime. This is reflected in their school work.
Im very dissapointed with this school as a whole. The teachers are ill prepared and poorly guided. I'm extremely sad about their unprofessional attitude and lack of dedication towards their profession. A lot of children from my daughters garade have left the school to go to public school and have sadly found that their child is a whole year behind the students in math and reading level.
