Ray Bayer: Groner Elementary is a great school, filled with bright kids whose parents are active in the school.  Each year there is a massive fund raising event that both builds the community and raises funds for the school.  The school basically has one class per grade and the teachers are awesome.  If you like a small environment, with good facilities and an active community (both in and out of the school), Groner is an awesome choice.  In addition, it is the deaf and hard of hearing school for the Hillsboro School District and it is great that all the kids learn some sign language.  There are interpreters for the ASL kids, so instruction is never slowed for them.  Kids that excel in math are given the opportunity to go up a grade, or even two grades, to meet their ability.  In the final year, a pre-algebra class is taught to advanced math students that really sets the students up to succeed in high school.  Youth atheletics is active, with plenty of opportunity in soccer, basketball, football, and (especially) baseball.  I recommend Groner Elementary very enthusiastically.
