Jennings Lodge Elementary School Reviews
Jennings Lodge is a great little school, however, the average classroom is 30 students - not 21 or 22. The difference in class size has dramatically influenced the education our children are getting in the last few years. Not only are our young children missing the individual attention needed at this age, but our teachers are so overloaded that their ability for accountability to parents is virtually impossible, leaving parents with little or no information about how well or not well their children are doing in class. It is a sign of the times and while we can't change the classroom sizes [other than to pull our children out of these schools] we can get involved with our schools by volunteering to help in the classroom, working with our children and volunteering to run programs that have been cut such as physical education, art, specialized reading and playground supervision. Volunteering an hour a week or even an hour a month gives you first hand information about what your child is learning, how you can mirror that education at home and how you can influence these public schools to make a difference in your child's overall education. Make them be accountable, but be involved so you know what to ask for!
