Molalla High School Reviews
If you are looking to get into agriculture, this is the place for you! If you choose to get into anything modern or that has anything to do with technology, look elsewhere! They have "1" graphic design class and that is about it. They appear to be sponsored by FFA and if you don't fit into, or can't get into, those classes, your choices are the basic math, english, social studies and p.e. - an absolute SHOCK in todays society!
For a rural community in Oregon, there is not a lot of choices. Molalla high school was the only public school when my children started high school. There are now many alternatives including our very own charter school.
Molalla high school has a standard curriculum that meets the requirements that are set by the government, but there is not a lot of advanced level classes for those that need them. One of my children attended the local community college (at my expense) to gain higher level classes and then had the classes transferred over as high school credits. That is great for the students education, but not very nice on the parents wallet.
Overall, Molalla high school meets the needs of their students educations, has great staff, but is lacking in encouraging students to excel.
