About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Oregon Connections Academy's test results to learn more about school performance.

Oregon Connections Academy Reviews
Oregon Connections Academy is a free Oregon public school option. We love the flexibility and how the academic program can be custom suited to your child's needs. This is our second year with our eldest son, who is completing 7th grade and he loves it. Our youngest son will join ORCA next September. We are able to learn at their pace and also have flexibility to get out into the world, travel and participate in many extra curriculur activities. We are very happy and satisfied with learning this way. Plus, NO negative social issues (bullying, negative peer influences). Instead, only positive social choices that you and your child choose together and pursue in depth.
