i think douglas high school is a great school with lots of amazing people. But their academic standards and punishments are not teaching the students to be self-aware or to be adults... its teaching them to be uptight, or even angry at themselves for unrealistic mistakes.
douglas treats their students with respect,yes. but they treat them like little kids and dont evertell them the truth of the real world.
i say stop the harshness of punishments and start on the awareness of the world and dont treat them like they dont kno what they're talking about. students today understanda lot more then people think, just let them express their ways...in different ways. dontjudge,just teach
