Our mission: Engage, inspire and prepare all students to achieve challenging goals and aspirations, and contribute to a diverse world
Nellie Muir is a K-5 elementary school serving approximately 450 students. We offer traditional, one-way bilingual, and two-way bilingual programs. Nellie Muir was honored for its academic achievement by the Oregon Department of Education in 2006, one of seven schools in Oregon to receive the "Celebrating Student Success" award that year. It was again honored in 2008, for the same achievement, one of four schools statewide to gain the prestigious "Continuing Student Success" award. In 2009 Nellie Muir was one of only two schools in the state to be designated a National Title I Distinguished School for our continued success in closing the achievement gap.

--Nellie Muir is a partner with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
--Nellie Muir offers parent and community volunteer opportunities through the SMART reading program, connecting community members with students as reading partners.
