Union Terrace Elementary School

Absolutely awful! My child went from an A student being home schooled to failing in just 1 1/2 years at this school. They do not teach Science or Social Studies all year, only 1/4 of the year for each. Since my child's grades have been steadily dropping, we've asked for additional support, and only given the run around. My child and all her peers do not have text books, there is one book given to the class and the teacher has to make copies for all the students. We have contacted the school admins and teachers on several occasions to try to understand why our child has declined so rapidly only to be told that she is lazy. No child goes from all A's to D's and F's in a year and a half without there being a major problem. She rarely comes home with any homework other than ABC order spelling words or a math sheet. It seems to me that no one at this school or any in the district care at all about the students or helping them succeed. Time to go back to home schooling before my child forgets how to tie her shoes or spell her own name.
