Boiling Springs High School Reviews
I had two children attend this school district. My children are minority and have had issues for the last 4 years. The school district is less than 1% minority and there are many reasons why. Most minorities that attend the school district pull their children and move or relocate to a more diverse environment like Carlisle High School. It would be interesting to see the percentage of minority students that have left this school district and reasons why. I don't think there are any minorities teachers, or school officials. I find that very hard to believe in the year 2011. The administration has been known to alter the random drug testing policy to target those of color based on information obtained from the South Middleton drug task force, which is an organization made up of parents, school officials and law enforcement officers in local area. The ACLU has been contacted regarding the testing issue and is very concerned. I understand it is a privilege to participate in extracurricular activities, but at a cost of $9,637 per student, I feel all students or none should be tested. Needless to say, I have just removed my children from the school district and would strongly advise any minorities to stay clear unless you want to live in the sixties.
