For the first comment how long ago was that because that hasnt happened in eight years . And this school is a happy nonviolent school and you should go to it . ya there might be a fight every once in a while ,but that happens in almost every school. Im not saying someones thought about that school is not right . but if your child told you that without you talking to the school about it , maybe you should . zif you did then DANG!!!! I can not believe that. All im just saying is pick between the two best schools in my opinion Ringold and Charleroi.

Do NOT let your child attend Charleroi Area Middle School / High School. My child witnessed head-banging fights in the cafeteria, student being taken away by ambulance because of being knocked out abusively by another student during phsycial education class, and one child even had his mouth taped shut by a teacher. Pay no attention to anything positive you might read about the school but take this information from a parent whose child has been through the system. If your child has any potential whatsoever it will be wasted by him/her being placed in classes with discipline problems and lack of teacher knowledge/interest to handle it. Remember that middle school is the beginning of high school - so ask the guidance counselor for the school's average SAT scores and a list of the colleges that the seniors attend. If you want nothing better for your child than being competitive enough to only attend the local state college, W. and J., W. Va. Univ, small Pittsburgh colleges, community college, outlets for Univ of Pittsburgh and Penn State such as Greensburg, Fayette, then this is the school for your child!

Mary Ann: This school is an absolute Horrible place to be. My Son and dauhter both disliked it. They said the teachers were very rushy with the work. They didnt really spend thr right amount of time to help the students. Evrything that my kids wanted to do there they had to pay for. Its just horrible. I wouldnt recommend it.
