MC: I'm sixty-one years old and still remember Aronimink Elementary school. It was a wonderful school and I would walk with my mother every day from Arrowhead lane.

Aronimink Elementary School
s an educator myself I am very disappointed with this school and the Upper Darby School District as a whole. An incredible amount of "in service" days, excessive half days for parent-teacher conferences (e.g. 5 half days in March 2010!!!, really??). They also teach to the test. Their main concern is doing well in the PSSA's - which to be honest they don't perform that will in. When my child was in the first grade he stopped learning anything new in Math at the end of February - he had reached the end of the curriculum for first grade. So for just over 3 months he was just repeating work. It wasn't much better in the second or third grade. If your chid is smart he will be held back and if your child needs help he is likely to struggle. If at all possible choose another school.
