Villa Maria Academy Lower School Reviews
Unimpressed with Kindergarten
For a private all-girls Catholic school, I expect a top-notch educational experience. Kindergarten at Villa lacks nurturing teachers who encourage children to be children, instead singling girls out among their peers and diminishing self esteem. The phonetic awareness and early reading instruction was significantly lacking. The overall environment is wonderful and it was disappointing that this feeling was not reflected inside the kindergarten classroom.
A fabulous family oriented, K-8, private Catholic girls school in a beautiful setting in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The teachers and staff are exceptionally motivated and caring. Each student receives an outstanding education. Aside from the excellence in educational standards, students routinely are learning to give back to the immediate and global communities through mission drives, sponsoring less fortunate student populations through exchange programs, collecting items for our service troops. They develop a sense of caring for others and support one another through their years at Villa and beyond. Small class size and newly renovated buildings are a bonus.
