St Sophia Orthodox Christian Academy Reviews
My preschool student has thrived at St. Sophia. I highly recommend it.
It's actually pre-k through eighth grade.
It's a very small school, which means that every student gets individual attention and nobody can fall through the cracks or disappear in the back of the classroom. The teachers are very nice and there's good communication with home. The tuition compares favorably with local Catholic schools, and they do have scholarships available.
There's prayer and religious education, from the perspective of Orthodox Christianity. This can be a plus, if you're Orthodox, or something you might want to consider if you're not. Students of any faith are welcome, but there's no doubting that it is an Orthodox institution.
The main disadvantage of a very small school is that there are a limited number of other students for your children to make friends with, and there aren't really as many opportunities for things like school-sponsored sports.
Overall, we're really happy with this school. It was a positive change for our kids who go there.
