West Side Elementary School Reviews
I had my son in Westside Elementary for K for the whole year and and 1st grade for 1 month. The school classrooms have way to many children all at different levels of learning. Which naturally would put a lot of stress on a teacher. When I would walk into the school it always seemed like there was no organization and the children had no direction. And running wild. And it was obvious by the looks on the staff's faces. I felt my child was treated like a criminal not like a 6 year old child. The children at that age need guidence, love, and a positive learning environment. Which Westside Elementary is lacking. And after being interupted at least 2 days a week at work from my son's teacher describing to me how terrible of a child my son was. I had no choice but to change his school to attend private school. I felt as a Mother I would be harming my childs selfworth if I let him attend Westside another day. And I must say my son's grades have improved 100% and he has not been in any kind of trouble since we left Westside and not one negative phone call from his teachers. It would be a blessing to see Westside be transformed into a better learning environment for our children and community as a whole.
West Side Elementary needs to explore other options concerning the education of young minds.
