A Child's World Reviews

Disappointing Last Year

By a Parent on

My husband and I sent our daughter to A Childs World in Langhorne a few years ago and so when it came time for our son to also attend the school, it was a no brainer to have him get the same great experience that she recieved. A Childs World is very close to where my husband and I work and so for us, we kept him at the school this last year because of the convienence factor. We would not have done so otherwise. This past year my husband and I have been disappointed in the classroom management style of his pre-k teachers. We often walk into the room at drop off and pick up to find the staff huddled together and on their phones, even on the playground, sometimes I feel like they arent even aware I'm there. His projects seemed very sloppy and unorganized and I feel like he was doing far more advanced work when he was in another teachers class last year. I didnt want to speak to the director about it because of her close relation to his teacher. I know they are very close and felt I would be the 'odd one out' if I complained or stressed my concerns. Some of the parents and I have gotten together and talked about it, and many of us do feel the same way. This school used to be a great school, but just within the last year or so I have noticed so many of my husband and I's favorite teachers have left. I wonder if the school will be able to hold up its reputation.
