About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Sugar Valley Rural Charter School Reviews
I've been to many schools, because my family used to move around a lot. SVRCS is the worst school I've ever been to. Allow me to relate a quick anecdote:
I forget the exact context, but I remember the important part.
Teacher: "Name a state."
Student: "Umm... The United States of America?"
Teacher: "Okay... name a country."
Student: "Uhh... Pennsylvania?"
This student wasn't out of the normal range of intelligence for SVRCS students; similar things happened every day. But that's not the worst part.
The teachers and staff are, while always nice and friendly while parents are around, bullying and almost abusive when alone with the students. The school nurse slapped me in the face once.
Do not send your children to this school.
On my first day of school, I was greeted by at least four people. Today every day i walk in, I am greeted by almost every teacher and student that i walk by, by name. I am not even popular. You are truly treated like a human being, not a number that generates money. This school was built on hands on learning meaning more field trips, more class projects, and even agriculture outside. We grow sheep, pigs, and chickens. This school is not for the super athlete due to the fact that we only have wrestling and golf. This school is for the kids who just don't fit into regular public school learning.
Im a proud parnet of a sugar valley student, this school takes the time for each child and learns their needs and helps them one on one , that is far more then what I can say for jsasd. My grandchildern also go here and are doing get. Like I say they treat your childern like a human being not just a job . They really care and want the best for each and every child. In todays world that is what we need, more home like morals and respect here they get that. Sugar Valley keep up the grat work, I thank you all enough.
