About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Magnet schools promote student diversity because they are open to students outside the normal school district boundaries and often attract high caliber students through competitive programs. Academy at Palumbo Reviews
This school is pretty good, considering the ghetto city its located in and the failing school district, which is dissolving starting next year. But overall its an average Philadelphia high school with too many kids running this way and that, lacking direction. As a parent of a student there, learning experiences will vary. Depending on what teacher you have, they might actually take the time to teach you something (after all, that's what were sending our children here for). Or they might just sit there and gossip with the students. It really depends. Most teachers seem as if they hate thier job and some even express that vocally. On the bright side, the diversity among the students and teachers in unparalleled, probably anywhere else you can think of. The diversity of students in this school is mesmerizing and is a great thing to see. Overall, it's not the best school in the world. There are some fights here and there. But you can be sure that its better than most philly public schools and you dont have to worry about your child getting stabbed or anything like that.
i'm really interested in this school but i'm kinda scared when i put in that application i won't get accepted if i ever was to make it in i would do anything work hard and achive but i'm nervous right now i won't get the chance to prove myself.but please if the school ever gave me a chance to prove myslef i'll work my hardest.
