Springside Chestnut Hill Academy

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is very unique: it offers both a single-gender education AND a coed education. Boys and girls are segregated from pre-K through Middle School, which, according to experts, are the important years for single-gender focus. When the kids hit high school, the classes merge into one. Totally appropriate time for that to happen.  We have been there since 5th grade and my son continues to blossom into the best person he can be.  The field trips are incredible: in 6th grade the boys go sailing on the Chesapeake for four days. Each boat is responsible for food shopping (on a budget), cooking, swabbing the deck, etc. A trip of a lifetime for young men.
