Excelent school!!!! Teachers are very professional!!!! We are very happy that we find such a great school here in the northeast.

This school has been a great Disappointment!! I have had more then my share of bad experiences with the administration who are very unprofessional. My child has been in a reading program the last two years there to help him advance, which has done anything but good at least in their eyes. My child has been there since day one and has never had to take a spelling test. They have never made AYP its no wonder why kids are struggling. They are sent home with new stuff and have no idea how to do it they either get it or they are left behind. My child's last teacher was by far the rudest and would make fun of him in the class room in front of other students . I can't tell you how many times he would come home in tears. My husband and I have met with the teacher Vice principal and Principal over these matters and got no where . The school was shut down for two days with no notice to parents if it wasn't for the news I would of had no idea what was going on. My child is terrified to return this year. I could go on and on about the problems I have encountered with  this school , but I will just end by saying he won't be back! (Edited for content by Education.com staff)

This school is a gem!! Every teacher I have encountered during my son's 3 years there have been amazing. The principal is very much involved and makes sure he greets us personally no matter how packed the school event may be. My son's first grade teacher went out of get way to challenge my son when she realized he was too advanced for the work. They get things done! We Love Tacony!!

This school is a gem. The teachers I've encountered over my son's 3 years there are amazing! The principal that was there the first year was really nice and involved, but Mr. Garris is great too. He always greets us personally, no matter how packed the school event may be. The school has a strict discipline policy, but it works!  My son, who is very advanced, had a teacher who went out of her way to give him the caliber of work that would challenge him! They put him in a higher grade for reading when they realized he was way ahead of his class. They do what needs to be done.We love Tacony Academy :-)
