The Grier School is located in Tyrone, PA. It is a private school that serves 220 students in grades 7-12. The Grier School is all-female and is nonsectarian in orientation. The school belongs to the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools.
Anastasia Lovely: From what I have received through the prospectus it looks to be a great school that has a great curriculum. The honors classes are varied and there are a lot of them. This is a great school.
While the physical structure is quite pretty, this is not the school for everyone. The student body fluctuates widely with many attending for only a year or two. The school is not equipped to deal with some of the girl's backgrounds and damage control is done "after the fact" instead of proactively, hence exposing the rest of the population to whatever problems are at hand. If you seek a sleepy setting and do not examine the situation too closely, this school may work for you.
