Laurel Highlands Middle School Reviews
100% focused on upper class
I would not send my children to this school unless I had no other alternative. They are more concerned with cheerleader and sports than academics. Bullying is permitted by the upper class students. However, if you are a middle class family, your child will have action for everything they do. Any complaints against bullying by the upper class students will not only fall on deaf ears but your child will be looked down upon. They will be told not to come back to the office. This school's superintendent is the same way. We were told that we needed to attend a board hearing against our child for her actions she was going to take against a cheerleader. They informed us that our child was to be placed in an alternative school within minutes of walking in the door. Hearing?! Really?! No matter what we said mattered. The superintendent is very arrogant and talked down to us, as well interrupted us any time we spoke. I'm not condoning what are daughter was planning on doing, however no actions have been taken against the bully, because arriving to the principal it was to late. The bully has done this for years to numerous people and parents have visited the school several times, and nothing has occurred. The bully happens to be a cheerleader. Very unfortunate for an average student that has to attend this school
