Marlboro County High School Reviews
I think MCHS should seperate the freshmen from the other grades. I understand last year the freshmen class had their own hall. This was a perfect decision. I realize these kids are growing up and are now in high school but there's something else that I strongly feel is important, also........
From personal experience, my daughter has had basically the same classmates since Head Start. Now they are in a totally different environment with all new classmates. If MCHS had continued trying to group old classmates together as much as possible the transission may not have been so frightening for them! This reminds me of picking up baby birds and demanding them to fly. Or maybe throwing a chick into a dog pile and telling him he was on is own. Sink or Swim.
Please go back and regroup 9th grade into their own hall. At
lease until they feel comfortable with their, "big" school change.
My daughter seems to be having problems that she will not talk about. She is very reluctant to go to school now. Maybe it's anxiety from being away from her former classmates from Mccoll Middle School. I'm just not sure. But her grades have come down because she just doesn't care. Please help!
