I'm a student at Blythewood. I feel safe at Blythewood..., but sometimes I feel a little too safe. Some of the rules are just too much. They have an ID policy (wear your ID at all times) for safety purposes (they don't want kids from other schools just waltzing into Blythewood), but the 3 hours of detention you have to serve if you get caught without it is ridiculous... Overall, Blythewood is a great school, but they really should stop acting like by-the-book robots and act more like reasonable, rational human beings.

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
