I think GHS is a well rounded high school dealing with alot of diversity from alot of kids, but overall I think the school has alot to offer, the teachers & administation has done a great job in the past years since I was involved there with my son, I am proud to say I am a bulldog parent & love to see the school continue to grow and prosper, I keep the teachers and the staff in prayer & I know through hard work and determination all things are possible, I pray that the parents get more invovled in their kids education and that the student try to invovle them more, I would like to see  them include more programs to help develop unity with parents, teachers, students & administration. God bless them for having pride and patients with the kids. I Love GHS **** Are you proud to be a bulldog? yes I am .

My son graduated from Georgetown High School in 2008. I feel that he couldn't have gotten a better education anywhere in the country. The fact that they didn't make AYP is probably because over 25% of their student population is classified as special education. The school is also the magnet school for special education students in the school district. This fact alone makes it difficult to make their AYP. They have too many students who are in the non-diploma (certificate) track because of their large special population.
