William Blount High School Reviews
Not my first pick for a quality education. My oldest son is graduating this year and there are many gaps in his education. Guidance focuses more on pushing students through and no child left behind than individulized counseling and encouragment. Had several comments such as "this is all you really have to have to graduate." The exposure to drugs, sex, alcohol, and racism is also bad. My 2 younger children will not be going here. With all that said, they do have some good programs in place and a determined child with supportive, involved parents can achieve sucess here.
William Blount is a wonderful school. I have been able to excel in every aspect of my academics and extracurriculars here. I haven't always gone to Blount County schools, so I come as an unbiased opinion. I would strongly suggest this school for any student. The administration has always been willing to help me in any way possible, and I am so grateful for that. I can't tell you how much I enjoy going to this school. I can't say I'd feel the same if I had to attend anywhere else.
