PERSONALLY I WENT TO GOWER AS A CHILD. ADN FELT THAT HE WOULD DO GREAT THERE HE IS IN FIRST GRADE WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HELD BACK BUT WAS SOCIALLY ADVANCED BC OF HIS SIZE IT HAS TAKEN ME ALONG TIME AND MANY FIGHTS TO GET HIM THE HELP HE HAS NEEDED ......I THINK THAT THEY LOVE THEIR STUDENTS BUT TAKES THEM TO LONG TO UNDERSTAND WHAT EACH CHILD NEED INDIVIALLY THEY HAVE GREAT TEACHER AND COUNSILERS BUT CAN BE SNOODY AND RUDE I AND PULLING HIM OUT AFTER HE FINISHES THIS YEAR
I can say that the 12:1 ratio is a bit misleading. I think my son had 26 kids in his class before they added another teacher. Now it is 22. You have advanced kids being dragged along with little challenge and the slower ones dragging themselves without help from parents. That leaves the average. That is what they teach, expect and but still do not achieve according to the test scores. The report cards are clumsy with some items being very difficult to observe and grade. But a grade is still given. Everyone gets a S-Satisfactory until the item can be tested or the school year runs out.
I think they have caring teachers.
