Lancaster Christian Academy Reviews
We absolutely LOVE this school. Praise God for all of the wonderful things happening at LCA! The staff is incredible!
No school is perfect but this is a good school. It's reasonably priced for a private school and yes, there are some things that can be annoying like mandatory field trips but that's part of the curriculum. The athletic fees are very reasonable compared to public schools. The principal and teachers are very caring, and it's not difficult to stay involved in your child's education.
Good Christian school.
They are money hungry! They over charge for everything! Uniforms, books, pictures, yearbooks, locks, and are constantly whining about needing MORE money for whatever. I bought my kids the MANDATORY supplies they were required to bring to school (including Kleenex and hand sanitizer...) and on the first day they came back home with NONE of their pencils, crayons, paper, etc. that they needed for homework. The teachers took everyone's supplies to put in a "pool" of sorts. Guess I was just buying supplies for the school! They take the kids on field trips, charge about 15.00, even if your kid doesn't go. Also, they have a year end "production" which is MANDATORY for the kids to participate in ,big surprise, use up TWO weeknights for the performance and
then charge the parents to come see it!!! This year has been a huge disappointment for us. Last on my list of complaints is the huge increase in tuition, without one word from the school explaining why. In today's struggling economy, seems like they would have a little "grace" on parents pocketbooks.
The only GOOD thing I can say is that the teachers do a thorough job and the kids are learning more than my neighbors kids who go to public school. If don't mind being nickle and dimed to death, go for it.
