Joe K Bryant Elementary School Reviews
I have had so many issues with the staff at this school. I have so many friends that have had to remove their child from JKB because of the lack of dedication the staff has had with these children. It has been overwhelming to see what this school gets away with since moving here over 2 years ago from now what I know was an amazing school district. I wish this school was held accountable for the damage that they have done to so many families.
Removed my daughter in February 2012 to homeschool her since the teacher was failing her (she was previously an A/B Honor Roll 5th grader!) Homeschooled her until May 2012, and she passed her SAT's into 6th grade. Enrolled her in another school district, and she is back on the A/B Honor Roll. Apparently, I am a better teacher than paid/educated ones they have hired up there.
Joe K is an excellent school in all ways. It's a very beautiful school with a wonderful library and state of the art computer lab. Academically it is one of the finest schools around. The teachers are friendly and the staff is great. They are consistently ranked in the top percentiles in test scores and almost always place in UIL. This is one of the best schools your kids could go to.
We moved to Anna in March 2006, our daughter was 3 and Joe K had just been opened in 2005. Our daughter has been going there since Pre-K and is now in 3rd grade and we LOVE this school. All the staff has been Awesome and friendly and we have become friends with all our daughter's teachers through the years. They just took 3rd place in UIL for their region and they have a bilingual program unlike any I have known (and I was raised in Southern Calif). Their program is not just for kids who speak Spanish and want to learn English but HALF of each class is made up of kids who speak English and want to learn Spanish. They start in Kindergarden and stay that way all through their years learning all their subjects in BOTH languages. My daughter speaks Spanish now fluently and reads 2 grades above her level IN SPANISH!! Anyone who says anything bad about this school either doesn't really know it or simply never got involved.
The worst school i have ever went to. The teachers are mean and the rooms are highly small.
