Well Anton School was a very good school when my children started but as they have  gotten older I have noticed that some of the teachers don't care or put more effort in to teaching the kids. Now this doesn't apply to all the teachers, there are some who are willing to put the extra effort into teaching their students. I understand that kids should have home work but when you are having to do home work for 4 to 5 hours after school because the teachers would rather the kids watch movies in class. My children have came home and told me mom we watched a movie today and tried to do our home work instead of watching a movie but the teacher told us to put it away. OK I understand that sometimes you watch a movie because it is connected to something that is being studied in class. The kids also have a fun Friday which means if they are passing and don't have have any work that needs to be corrected then they can watch a movie. Which I think is acceptable. But I think that if they have time for movies they should have more time to teach the the children. I also believe that Anton school should offer tutoring to the students. As many as kids that have to attend summer school I think that tutoring would benefit the children and the teachers because I think it would improve the kids understanding of what the teachers expect of their students. I am hoping that this year will be better with all the changes that have take place over the summer. I have meet the new Elementary Principal and i hope that she can improve the attitude of some of the teachers towards the parents and the students. So with the help of the parents and the school faculty I believe that the students will improve and believe in themselves more. And understand that as long as they believe in themselves they can and will accomplish anything .

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
