Hill Elementary School Reviews
I'm a parent of 3 children. 2 have already graduated from the halls of Hill. We have had a wonderful experience for the most part. There are things that need improvement like the music and art department, but they have some very good teachers who have been there for many years. The Courtyard is beautiful, the feeder watch class that they have for 3rd graders is very interesting. Alot of parents volunteer endless hours to help this school out. At least the teachers do not have to buy the students books like many of the other school districts do to be able to teach these bright minds.
I am a volunteer at this school. There is an inner courtyard native plant garden at Hill (you can see it on the aerial), cared for by volunteer gardeners for benefit of students and teachers. Half of the volunteers have children or grandchildren at the school and half are community volunteers. The garden has the Texas Parks and Wildlife Native Habitat certification; the University of Kansas Monarch Watch certification and participates in the Cornell University Feederwatch program.
This is a good school with experienced, dedicated teachers and administrators.
