Summit High School Reviews

First of all, let me say that this school was my first bad experience of High School of 2009-2011. For the past 2 years of being there, it just got out of control. Most students wouldn't follow the rules which has became stricter now, I believe. It doesn't feel to me that most of the teachers are even trying hard to teach instead letting the students take control in classrooms. And what's up with this being BFFs with teachers? They are here to teach. Sure. There isn't any wrong with being friendly, fun and a bit loose but they should be focused more the subject, not be the student's friend and actually know it. People have said "it's a good school,it just has bad people in it". Welll, it's a bad school if it has LOTS of uncooperative people in it. It's like saying Mcdonald's food is healthy.
Moving the student to another grade by "passing" them is outrageous!
You mean to tell me that all those years of college was for nothing?
I don't care if you like this school or not. I'm just gonna be blunt honest and say that this school needs a lot of work done if the staff wants children to go there.

Here's a list of suggestions for Staff:
-if you want to teach,at least CARE about teaching the students. They ARE the future. Trust me.
-More security
Cameras and a
drive through security gate for parking lot perhaps because I know for a fact that their won't be enough guards outside as there is inside.
-Maybe not teach from a book so much and teach from the mind(make that  college knowledge count!)
-Put some paper towels and soap in the bathrooms(better cleaning too),please.
-Save money! Don't waste something that students are not gonna be interested in buying or going to.Make a poll instead of what they want the pep rally or a school event to be. Bakery sell, fundrasiers, vending.Something!
-Be organised when comes to classes, events, etc.
-Don't let them take over. You are the adults and they are the children becoming adults. It is your job to teach them to learn about the World.
-Most of all,put effort into your works.
Ex: Pep Rallies. Don't just put the same thing every 6 weeks.Think and brainstorm about the event to make it amazing.
-Recycle IDs or anything recyclable.
-Be active in the clubs you created/started.

I'm so grateful I got out of that! It's sad that people review to the past and how great it WAS when they should review the present.
I'm not gonna say I hate the school but I am,however, very dissapointed tho I never had high expections of the school being great.
Hopefully,Summit, you can be stronger and be real jaguars instead of kittens in a torn-up box just waiting to be sold.

Its a good school great athletic program! I went there when it first opend in 2002 as a freshman and graduated from Summit in 2005. The school has had a lot of success with students going on to do bigger and better things like professional sports as well as the military and so on.
