Homer Dr Elementary School Reviews
This used to be a great school. However the teachers now spend most of their day dealing with discipline problems rather than teaching. There is a fundraiser every week and the people running the district are trying to turn my kid into a salesman. Every week they tempt her with a new prize for selling the most high priced junk. The sadness in her eyes as she goes to a pep rally every other week to see other kids getting prizes for selling candy bars and wrapping paper was enough to pull my kid out. She gets rewards for doing well on schoolwork. We got to the point that we pulled her out of class during the pep rally/sales pitch and took her to the park or a movie. I love her teacher and loved her school until this year. What a shame.
hOMER DR. IS GREAT. THE TEACHERS AND STAFF GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WHEN IT COMES TO LEARNING.THEY KEEP LEARNING FUN WITH PROJECTS AND INCENTIVES FOR THE CHILDREN AND DO A GREAT JOB OREPARING THE CHILDREN FOR TESTS. i WOULDN'T WANT OUR CHILDREN TO GO TO ANY OTHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
