Missi: This school is horrible at working with children who need a little extra. If you have a child who is ADHD, a genius, or anything else other than a cookie cutter kid, this school is NOT for you. The teachers and administration have no respect for the kids. They talk to them like they are idiots and expect the students to behave like adults. I am thoroughly disgusted with this school. There is SO much to say about this aweful school, PLEASE email me with any question. If you have a wonderful child who doesn't have any issues, than this school may work well for you. However, if your child's attitude changes due to deployed parent or whatever the case, be prepared for a long, long battle.

J L Williams/Lovett Ledger Elementary School
If you have a student that is a special needs this is not a school for them, my wife and I have a son who has SPD and it has been so hard for us to get the school to work with us and get him the help he needs so he can learn. They will not take the time that is needed to tend to his needs so he can learn , so he is failing all his classes, he is in first grade. I wish they would read up and the disorder and learn how to accomadate him so he can learn. It's like they think we are stupid, because they will not take any of our recommendations, so we are about to transfer schools. I hope this help those of you out there with first grade kids.

What is it?
The TAKS is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in Grades 3 through 9 in reading, in Grades 4 and 7 in writing, and in Grades 10 and 11 in English language arts. Math skills are assessed in Grades 3 through 11, and students are assessed in Grades 5, 8, 10, and 11 in science, and in Grades 8, 10, and 11 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of two ratings: met standard or commended performance. The goal is for all students to meet the state standard. Students must pass the TAKS tests in grades 3, 5, and 8 in order to be promoted to the next grade, and in grade 11 in order to graduate from high school.
