About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See A+ Academy's test results to learn more about school performance.
In 2011, A+ Academy had 18 students for every full-time equivalent teacher. The Texas average is 15 students per full-time equivalent teacher.

dumb i went here for 3 years and i hated it now i go to a school in garland
Amazing Staff. This school works like a family.
My son goes to A+ Academy and he loves it. The environment is also more personal. The teachers are great as is its open door policy. The teachers encourage and expect parent involvement and it is a great school. I hope all 3 of my children will attend.
It's a great place for students that want to learn. Safe environment away from the regular public school in the area. The school is run by a wonderful Christian family. This school is a wonderful place to work and a great opportunity to serve in a real vocation. Many of the students are English as a second language students and the TAKS score reflect this. But as the school creatively addresses this status TAKS scores are increasing. I'd send my own students there if it weren't so far from us. My wife teaches there and loves it.
