Alex W Spence Middle School Reviews
I attended Alex W. Spence Jr. High when it first opened in 1940-41(?)
It was a great school and I enjoyed it. I have not even driven by it in years but it sounds like it is still a good school. That is good.
I attended this school from 1959-1960 when it was a junior high school, eighth and ninth grades. The school was about fifty percent Anglo and fifty percent Latino at the time. As I recall there was not a lot of trouble between the two ethnic groups. That said, it was probably one of the lowest performing schools in the DISD in terms of overall academics. I doubt that this fact had anything to do with the ethnic makeup and much more to do with the socio-economic status of the parents and the value they placed upon education.
i recomend this school remove my number and stop calling me befor i get ahold of a lawyer for harrassment. I have asked for 5+ months now. Enough is enough
is a good school i recomended for other student
Alex W Spence Middle School is a great school to go to. I went there my 8th grade year and i loved it,the teachers were so motivated to help and teach. They tried their hardest if not gave it their all to help us not only pass but become an A student and pass that TAKS TEST.....and if a child didn't pass i had to be because your child wasn't willing to take the help that he/she was given to them. And i strongly recamend the Red Raiders team. thank you Mrs.Billups, Mrs.Martin, Mr.Graham, Mr.Valle and last but not least Mrs.Sullivan'
It is the best school to get a good education and by the end of the year you'll know if your responsible or not. If you can't be organized or ready for over-achieving classes and education. Don't go. If you do without being responsible, well good luck.
