About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Oak Cliff Academy (Dallas) Reviews
Upon touring and meeting the staff of Trinity Basin Prep, I was very excited to join the TBP family. Mrs. Harrell, my youngest son's Kindergarten teacher is wonderful!!! I could not ask for a better teacher. The Kindergarten curriculum could be a little more challenging.
I have repeatedly request phone and face to face conferences with the seventh grade teachers to no avail. The administration announced demographic changes for next year very late March, 2011. By the administration’s lack of timely notification of the change, I was unable to get applications in to the academy that I would have preferred my child to attend for the 2011-2012 school year. This is an example of the principle’s little to no respect for the parents.
I now regret ever sending my children to the school.
