The Canterbury Episcopal School Reviews
Did you know Libby Tadlock was not certified to execute Professional Development Appraisal System documents while she was employed by Uplift? She did so with derrogatory results for an assortment of former teachers at North Hills Preparatory.
Her certificate number post-dates the execution of my PDAS and it is therefore 'red-flagged' as to propriety by the TEA, by ATPE, my attorney, and the Region X Service Center.
Oh well!! Since her colleague in crime Cheryl Huisman is now deceased we will never get the full story.
Do you want that type of misleading administration in your school? I would hope not. Hire who you like, beware of who you have.
Yes, I can prove what I write by producing hardcopies of the emails traded with LT. Telling the truth about someone is not libelous, it is simply the truth.
I'm sorry Canterbury was so enamoured by her slickness that it overlooked the basics--when were you authorized to do X by Uplift Education and when did you earn certification to do that?
Now in my tenth year at CES. I came to work at our school because of the wonderful environment, faculity, and of course, the student body. As a staff member, my goal is to positively creating students, faculity, staff with a conductive learning environment that is safe and supportive, clean and attractive for the whole school community. I strive to sustained positive approaches that all members of the school community to value diversity, contribute positively to the safety and welbeing of themselves and others, act independently, justly, cooperatively and responsibly in school, work, civic and family relationships, contribute to the implementation of appropriate strategies that create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
The students learn in a very safe, fun and loving environment. Teachers are very caring, make each student feel appreciated, special and cared for. I would love to say so many things that I hold in my heart that words can not convey. The canterbury Episcopal School is a BIG! part of me. We are a smaller school but the students receive a high level of education and skills of how to cope with and make it through life successfuly. CES has a great curriculum program. 100% of our graduates have been acceated to college. Our graduates receive college credit for their Advanced placement classes. Our graduates have been awarded more than $5.8 MILLION in scholarships. As parents, your child will be getting an excellent education which will open up educational opportunities. The small admosphere creates a family safe environment. Our teachers are the greatest strength of CES. Our teachers are not just the person on the other side of the desk. Our teachers are here because they are passionate about the children and excited about teaching and learning. This is an exceptional school and I would recommend any parent looking to enhance their childs education and future to attend The Canterbury Episcopal School.
I have been a member of the Canterbury staff for over a year and I have enjoyed every minute of my time here. We do care about each student and we work hard to meet each of their needs in a thought-provoking curriculum. I like that the class sizes are small and I have more time to give to each student. This allows me to help those that maybe working on a new concept or challenging those that have mastered our current lesson. In addition, the students here are not constantly pulled out of class for test preparation nor are they under pressure to perform on any one particular test.
Most of my students are in one or more after school activities and they are involved in the athletic program. In my building, our colleagues are well educated and have multiple years of experience. We work together daily to assist our students as we integrate each subject’s curriculum into our own. Most importantly, our administration and staff work hard to meet the needs of each family. We have an excellent parent organization that is very active and supportive to new families as well as those in need. I am looking forward to enrolling my child into Canterbury when she is old enough for Kindergarten.
Our son graduated from Canterbury after attending for five years. The investment was worth every penny. At the time of the initial decision, he was not interested in the extracurricular activities that would be available to him in a large public school, and our concerns were academic, social, and spiritual. At Canterbury he had teachers who cared about him as a person and challenged him academically. His musical and sports interests were supported and fostered, and he was able to earn 24 college credits through the AP exams. I highly recommend Canterbury and encourage you to visit this beautiful campus with its welcoming staff.
The Canterbury Episcopal School is an exemplary school hidden away in a privately wooded area of DeSoto across from Thorn Tree Country Club. The teachers are all very knowledgeable, caring, and nurturing. Students are adequately and sufficiently challenged in all academics. The primary school has many fun events throughout the school year for the students in K-3rd. In addition to the academics and athletics, students participate weekly in chapel services, religion classes, and community service projects. I will be starting my 7th year with Canterbury in the Fall and am very proud to be a part of this wonderful school! I highly recommend The Canterbury Episcopal School.
