Cullen Middle School Reviews
Unfortunately, someone has had a disappointing experience at Cullen Middle School. One person's experience over one year ago should not determine if a school is a fit for someone else's child. This school has grown leaps and bounds. They just barely missed being a recognized school by 4 percentage points in math. All of the other scores in reading, writing, science and history were in the 80s or above. I am excited about the work they are doing at Cullen. I recommend you go and see any school that you are interested in for your child. These reviews are great, but they are also personal and very opinionated. There is nothing like seeing for yourself. Cullen Middle School is a great school.
Cullen is a huge disappointment. The teachers are there to belittle and humiliate the kids because some of the children have situations and circumstances that are out of the norm for children in most cases. If you are not on their good side - they have nothing to do with you as a student or parent. My children often complained that they were not learning; one said "it doesn't feel like school at all - just a place to go every day". When instructors did decide to teach it was regarding the TAKS test only.
Please parents - if you care about your child's education and their mental state - don't send your kids to this school. In other words, if your child comes from a school where they were accustomed to learning and being uplifted, well Cullen is not the place for your child if you are hoping to continue that.
