Keller Montessori School & Kindergarten Reviews
Excellent Montessori school. My children have benefited greatly.
I couldn't disagree more with the previous, negative review. From what I understand from the parent handbook and personal research, the staff can't administer medicine because of Texas state laws. I am so grateful to KMS. It is a wonderful school with caring, hard-working staff members. My three year old is actually reading!! My husband and I have had our daughter and son in the program for two years now, and they absolutely love it. So do we!
Keller Montessori building is old and run-down with poor ventilation. There are a lot of broken materials that should be replaced, but instead, glued back together. School policy prohibits staff to administer medication of any sort including pain reliever/ fever reducer or allergy medicine. The school also lacks a nutrition program. You must provide your child's lunch. However, you are limited in what you can bring since the school does not have a refrigerator or microwave.
Despite all this, we thought we were paying for a good education. Unfortunately, the kids watch too much TV (especially before and after school). Staff comprised mostly of moms who are in the tuition trade program. Although there are a couple of excellent teachers, they are outnumbered by others who clearly don't belong in childcare services.
Several violations based on DFPS.com website as well as complaints filed with BBB.
Best Montessori around :)
