MY two youngest go to that school, lots of good support for average or below average kids. Extracurricular activities are a good option for many. The teachers care about their students and are often behind them with support in what they lack in.

The teachers are very good but the students and the education could be way better. I came from Washington middle school and then here and the teaching was way better from Washington

This school is not very good the fact that you see many disturbances around the school. Things are not being dealt with the way that it needs to.

I believe that there is a commitment to teaching the students what they need to learn. It is the responsibility of the teachers, the parents, the student and administrators to have and produce sucess at all cost. If there is a discipline problem at school, it must be dealt with immediately, not to mention that discipline must start at the student'st home. I find that a few not all of the students "act out" because they seek negative attention, they lack knowledge or simply just attend school because as they state "my parents don't want me at home." It is sad that the future is at stake just for the mere fact that "someone" stopped caring. We need to help each student to be sucess academically, building intellect one step at a time. The students are our future, I want a bright future with intellect students that our district will produce with patience , love, undesrtanding and caring.

Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School
It is a school where teachers and faculty only care about them selfs and their pay..They dont know how to handle students who are under stress or pressure of any kind.Principles on the other hand try to make the school strict by expelling students and making them feel like criminals or a failure,instead of coming up with a solution how to help our children for the future..my children still have to attend this school only because where we live..Oh and another thing counselors have not been no help of any kind to my knowledge...

What is it?
The TAKS is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in Grades 3 through 9 in reading, in Grades 4 and 7 in writing, and in Grades 10 and 11 in English language arts. Math skills are assessed in Grades 3 through 11, and students are assessed in Grades 5, 8, 10, and 11 in science, and in Grades 8, 10, and 11 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of two ratings: met standard or commended performance. The goal is for all students to meet the state standard. Students must pass the TAKS tests in grades 3, 5, and 8 in order to be promoted to the next grade, and in grade 11 in order to graduate from high school.
