Blake Manor Elementary School Reviews
The school has gone down hill over the years and if given a choice DO NOT send your child to this school! If you have a SPED kid RUN away! Bulling is non stop and nothing is done about it. Teachers try but the administration mainly Courtney Thomas does nothing to back up the teachers and there efforts. If you try to talk to admit they do not help and act put out just by you walking through the door. If you care about your kid and the education they are receiving then send them elsewhere!
I am happy with the progress that the school has had with my sons. One of which is diagnosed with autism. The teachers have great communication with us and they encourage family time with a variety of different after school events through out the year. They prompt reading a great deal too.
very poor district and very poor school. unfortunately this presents a bad combination and the end result is a poor education. the teachers seem to be in the same boat as the students and the school seems to run on the verge of chaos. if your child is smart the reality is that they will be as smart as the slowest student. also because the hispanic density is so high most of the children do not speak english, which also holds the rest of the students back.
thank god i'm moving out of state!
