Red Oak Junior High School
Corrie Underwood: I think Red Oak Jr High has the potential to be a good school if the staff would all get together and work together. My main issue with this staff is the inconsistency of the dress code - one teacher will interpret the dress code one way and the next teacher another. Parents now days cannot afford to run out and purchase new clothes every time a teacher decides certain pants, shirts or jackets are no longer allowed. I thought the dress code was designed to make all children feel equal - but in my opinion, this is not whats happening. I have been in the school myself and seen kids with yellow, green, purple ect... shoes on yet kids are being sent to the office for a less than half inch logo (butterfly) on their "uniform" shirt... plus certain teachers are getting on to certain kids about their "uniform" pants that are clearly "dickies" uniform pants, just not the style that teacher prefers... In my opinion the dress code has gotten way out of hand..... and if given the opportunity to vote on this again, myself and several other parents would definitely vote NO......
