Southside High School
The only people who actually like this school are the jocks, football players/ cheer leaders, whatever you want to call them. They get favorited, teachers make exceptions for them, so they pass no problem, even though they skip most of the year.
The Administration is horrible. They spend more time policing than the 6 police do. Mr. Johnson is on "Birthday patrol" everyday at lunch, Scolding students who sing "Happy Birthday."
Every time they plan some kind of event, they don't tell the teachers when or where. There have been several times when I'd have to ask 10 teachers where to go, because none of them knew. Also several times, the administrators would cut the last class period off for some stupid event.
In short, the good teachers are good and plentiful. The administration is annoying, and the majority of students are moreso.

About the TAKS
What is it?
The TAKS is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in Grades 3 through 9 in reading, in Grades 4 and 7 in writing, and in Grades 10 and 11 in English language arts. Math skills are assessed in Grades 3 through 11, and students are assessed in Grades 5, 8, 10, and 11 in science, and in Grades 8, 10, and 11 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of two ratings: met standard or commended performance. The goal is for all students to meet the state standard. Students must pass the TAKS tests in grades 3, 5, and 8 in order to be promoted to the next grade, and in grade 11 in order to graduate from high school.
