Sunrise School Reviews
Sunrise Elementary school is going through the transition of a new principle. This transition has been rough but will hopefully be positive. In the 6 years we spent in this school we watched bullying issues come and go. There are some very dissorganized, new (and not so new) teachers. Behavior managment has not been a priority on the playground or lunchroom. There is a socioeconomic split that causes some cliqueness but not severe. The dominant religion is dominant in this school and exclusion based on religion is not uncommon. One strange but sometimes overwhelming issue is the smell. The school is shut up tight all the time and the smell of pre-K to Pre-teen is overwhelming at times. The lunches are portion small. My child was never full after lunch, my child is small/average size and eats average meals at home, so we packed her lunch or sent her with snacks.
